View Job Description

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: • Responsible for washing and storing dishes, utensils, containers and trays. • May act as cashier, collecting money received from the sale of foods as required. • Assist in the preparation and serving of the main dish, salad, vegetable and other menu items. • Provide assistance in receiving and storing of food, supplies and materials. • Assist in maintaining inventory control and operational records. • May operate kitchen cooking and cleaning machinery including oven, mixer, grater, slicer and dishwasher KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of: • Basic safe food handling procedures. • Basic work safety practices. • Sanitation and safety practices and procedures. Ability to: • Operate and maintain food service related equipment. • Work efficiently and effectively. • Work harmoniously with fellow workers, school personnel, and children. • Meet the public tactfully and courteously. • Understand and carry out oral and written directions. • Perform housekeeping tasks in a kitchen. • Perform heavy lifting and stand for sustained periods of time
