EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: This is an entry level job position, no cafeteria experience required, however food service experience is desirable.

Comments and Other Information
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
• Responsible for washing and storing dishes, utensils, containers and trays.
• May act as cashier, collecting money received from the sale of foods as required.
• Assist in the preparation and serving of the main dish, salad, vegetable and other menu items.
• Provide assistance in receiving and storing of food, supplies and materials.
• Assist in maintaining inventory control and operational records.
• May operate kitchen cooking and cleaning machinery including oven, mixer, grater, slicer and
dishwasher
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements
listed below represent the knowledge and ability required.
Knowledge of:
• Basic safe food handling procedures.
• Basic work safety practices.
• Sanitation and safety practices and procedures.
Ability to:
• Operate and maintain food service related equipment.
• Work efficiently and effectively.
• Work harmoniously with fellow workers, school personnel, and children.
• Meet the public tactfully and courteously.
• Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Perform housekeeping tasks in a kitchen.
• Perform heavy lifting and stand for sustained periods of time
