About the Employer
Coachella Valley Unified School District covers more than 1,200 square miles of mostly rural desert terrain, serving the communities of Coachella, Thermal, Mecca, Oasis, Indio, and the Salton Sea. The district currently operates fourteen elementary schools, three middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, and one adult school. Requirements / Qualifications
MATERIALS Required Qualifications: 1. To have an Associate of Arts Degree OR To have any combination of demonstrated education and experience considered by the Administration and Governing Board to provide the ability to perform successfully in this position. 2. A minimum of five years' experience working with local, County, and State facility licensing officials and Early Childhood programs. 3. Knowledge of community care licensing regulations. 4. To establish and maintain cooperative and effective communications with the public and government officials. 5. Must insure each ECE teacher has a current Children's Center Permit, TB skin test, physical and a Pediatric CPR and First Aide certificate. 6. Is responsible for submitting fingerprints of ECE teaching staff to the Department of Justice. 7. Works with the Riverside County Fire Department, Hazard Reduction Office to obtain annual fire hazard/safety inspections for all ECE centers and is responsible for correcting and documenting any violations found during the annual inspections. 8. Initiate and follows up on work orders for all ECE centers. 9. Notifies C.V.U.S.D. Facilities Department of any repairs needed on ECE centers under warranty. 10. Coordinates with Maintenance and Facilities Departments and modifications or facility improvements for ECE centers. 11. Initiates, codes for expenditures and follows up on requisition/purchase orders for ECE centers regarding: materials needed for repairing ECE classrooms, pest control, telephone repairs and installations, annual fees for licensing and fire clearance inspections. 12. During annual budget development, assists by submitting information regarding expenditures needed to complete tasks. 13. Performs other related work as assigned.
