Job Summary
An Occupational Therapist is an important member of an educational team which provides treatment for identified students in need of occupational therapy services in accordance with the student’s IEP. This position determines needs, designs treatment plans, and monitors progress in accordance with laws, regulations, and District policies. Incumbents work under the general direction of the Senior Director of Special Education in developing and providing services for individual students to improve their academic performance
Requirements / Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university and registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy • Experience providing occupational therapy services to children of various ages • Registration with National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy • Registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association desired • First Aid Certificate
