Requirements / Qualifications

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) serves as a resource to the school community with regard to identifying, analyzing, understanding, and addressing behavior differences as they impact learning. Must have a clear California Credential in Special Education, School Psychology, Counseling, or a Master’s Degree in a related field, possess a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, minimum of two years’ experience working as a behavior or autism specialist or related field, and experience in writing behavior plans for students with behavior difficulties including students with autism and other disabilities. Preferred: ABA or similar research-based training experience. Bilingual is highly desirable.

Covina-Valley Unified School District offers 3 different employer-paid HMO medical plans (Kaiser HMO, BlueShield of California Access HMO, and Trio HMO) to choose from as well as full dental, vision, and life insurance plans at no cost to all benefit-eligible employees.
