The Office of the President’s primary purpose is to provide overall leadership for Cardinal Newman High School to achieve the fullest attainment of the school’s mission in the Diocese of Santa Rosa. The President is appointed by the Bishop of Santa Rosa, advised by the Board, and is accountable to the Superintendent of Catholic Schools. The President serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the school and, as such, holds full responsibility for all aspects of the school’s operation, concentrating primarily on its Catholicity, vision, mission and philosophy, finances, development and fund-raising efforts, care of the physical facilities, marketing, public information and maintenance of positive relations with pastors, parents, other schools, and the civic community. The President is primarily responsible for ensuring sufficient resources, sound fiscal management and the long-term financial stability of the school through direct oversight of the business operations, advancement/fundraising/development, marketing, alumni, community relations, student recruitment and enrollment management activities. The President, through the supervision and guidance of the Superintendent of Catholic Schools, is responsible for implementing strategic and operational goals in partnership with the Board. Accountability: The President reports to the Superintendent of Catholic Schools, under the trust of the Bishop of Santa Rosa, and seeks advice and consultation from the Board as referenced in the Board Charter. Supervises: The President provides direct supervision to the following: Principal(s), Director of Athletics & Human Performance, Campus Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Advancement, and Marketing & Communications. The President works in close collaboration with the Chaplain of Cardinal Newman High School. This position is eligible for a full and generous benefit package.
