Montessori Elementary Lead Teacher at Rising Sun Montessori School (RSMS)
Location: El Dorado Hills, California
Academic Year: 2026-2027
School Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Instructional Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Montessori philosophy and California Content Standards
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, and cultural studies
- Create and maintain a prepared Montessori environment that promotes hands-on, self-directed learning
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Use ongoing assessment to monitor progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Classroom Management
- Establish a positive classroom community rooted in respect, responsibility, and collaboration
- Support student independence and self-regulation through Montessori practices
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and support staff to support the whole child
- Work closely with the Special Education (SPED) team to implement IEPs and support student goals
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events
Professional Responsibilities
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to Montessori education and instructional best practices
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum planning, and school-wide initiatives
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and assessments
- Contribute positively to the school community and uphold professional standards
Qualifications
- Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Montessori Elementary Certification from an accredited program, or willingness to obtain
- Teaching experience at the elementary level preferred
- Strong understanding of child development, Montessori philosophy, and California Content Standards
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment

Pay: $60,100.00 - $75,373.00 per year (plus additional stipends for Montessori certification)
