Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services or designee, the Instructional Coach serves as a collaborative partner with teachers, grade-level teams, and site leadership to advance student achievement and strengthen Tier I instruction. The Instructional Coach models, co-plans, and co-teaches high-impact lessons; supports teachers in lesson design and delivery; provides actionable feedback; and facilitates professional learning communities. The role also includes leading site and district professional development, presenting at staff meetings, planning and supporting Tier II interventions, and guiding data-informed decision making to improve academic, social-emotional, and behavioral outcomes for all students.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience. • Demonstrated expertise in lesson design, instructional strategies, and the use of data to improve outcomes. • Experience in facilitating professional learning and providing instructional coaching. • Experience with diverse student and community populations. • Experience in and understanding second language acquisition theory, teaching, and learning in multilingual settings. • Master ‘s degree in Education or related field (preferred).

Credential Requirements: *Multiple Subject *EL Authorization Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (at least 3 within the last 12 months) Resume

The East Whittier City School District provides educational opportunities (transitional kindergarten through eighth grade, including special education) for approximately 7,400 children.
