The Poway Unified School District is seeking applications for the spring season 2026 for a Girls Gymnastics Head Coaching position at Del Norte High School. About Us: Del Norte High School is committed to fostering a culture of excellence in athletics and academics. Our gymnastics program is dedicated to developing student-athletes not only in their athletic abilities but also in teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head Coach to lead our team. Position Overview: The Head Coach will be responsible for the overall management of the gymnastics program. This includes developing training plans, coaching during practices and meets, and promoting a positive team environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in competitive gymnastics, coaching experience, and a commitment to student-athlete development. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement training programs. • Lead daily practices and coach at meets. • Foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture. • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration. • Monitor and promote the academic and personal growth of student-athletes. • Organize and oversee team events, fundraising, and community service initiatives. • Ensure compliance with all school and league policies. • Manage all program administrative requirements.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications: • Previous coaching experience at the high school or club level is preferred. • Strong knowledge of techniques, rules, and competitive strategies. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes. • CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required • Must pass background checks as required by the school district.
