Job Summary

The Ballet Folklorico Choreographer will lead, inspire and educate middle school students in the art of traditional Mexican folk dance.  This position is responsible for teaching choreography that reflects the rich cultural diversity of Mexico's regional dances.  This is a middle school Ballet Folklorico Choreography position that requires creativity, patience, and the ability to adapt instruction to a variety of different skill levels.

Requirements / Qualifications

To qualify you must have demonstrated experience in Ballet Folklorico choreography and performance, experience working with students in a school or organized setting and a commitment to cultural education. Your responsibilities will include developing students' technical skills and preparing them for school and community performances as well as collaborate with school staff, program director and cultural organizations to promote cultural pride, teamwork and artistic expression.  It is required for you to be in attendance at all planned practices and performances where students perform and be prepared with media for practices and, in coordination with the director, at events. Additionally, strong communication and organizational skills may be needed to post updates using an Application that organizes our students with music and choreography videos.

If selected to coach, the following items will be required prior to clearance: 1) TB/Drug Screening $0 2) First Aid/CPR - $79.00 3) LiveScan
