Job Summary

Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned administrator or designee, supervise nutrition operations and personnel, menus, and related activity plans for healthy cognitive and physical development. Render nutrition services required by the Head Start Program Performance Standards and provide nutrition education to staff and families. The Nutrition Services Supervisor works itinerantly to deliver a program that is a farm to school and prevention-oriented curriculum which promotes nutrition education and physical activities for Early Childhood Education

Requirements / Qualifications

Ed-join Application Valid Food Protection Manager Certificate from accredited vendor (e.g. SafeServ, HAACP) Transcripts Valid Driver License EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or High School Equivalent Certificate. Bachelors Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Home Economics, or similar degree. Registered Dietician Certification , preferred. Two years of experience in managing or supervising a food service production is highly desirable. A combination of education, training, and experience that could provide the dsired skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered. ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS: The following documents are not required at the time of application but will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment: DOJ Clearance/FBI/CACI, Tuberculosis Skin Test clearance, Immunizations, Pre-Employment Physical/Drug Screen clearance & DMV Pull Notice.

*Service Safety Certification must be obtained within the first sixty (60) days of employment and maintained thereafter. Annual training as required. *Required to provide own transportation and must have proof of insurance. *Driving a vehicle to conduct work.
