Job Summary

Job Summary

The Career Technical Education Automotive Instructor provides instruction to high school juniors and senior students in a hands-on, standards-based automotive technology program. The instructor will prepare students with the technical knowledge, safety practices, and employability skills needed for entry-level employment, advanced training, or further education in the automotive industry.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of three (3) years of recent, paid, industry experience in automotive technology. • Ability to obtain and maintain a California Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Credential (must be completed within three years of hire). • Demonstrated knowledge of current automotive practices, tools, and technology. • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and industry partners. • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the success of a diverse student population.
