Job Summary
Monitor, install, terminate, cross-connect, repair and replace cable/wires and equipment associated with low voltage infrastructure and systems including data, fire, intrusion, safety camera, audio-visual, bell and emergency systems.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience: High School Diploma, or equivalency. Five (5) years' experience in the installation and service of low-voltage systems. Please provide a resume and two letters of recommendation
QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: Low-voltage network design. Data, voice, fire, intrusion, safety camera and telecommunication industry terminology. Voice, data and network. Perform mathematical calculations used in measurement and in estimates of supplies and materials. Work from blueprints, shop drawings, specifications and sketches. Operate a computer and related software. Energy management principles, renewable energy system monitoring, and efficiency optimization strategies. Industry standards (NFPA for fire systems, NEC for electrical, ANSI/TIA/EIA for structured cabling). Energy management principles, renewable energy system monitoring, and efficiency optimization strategies Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Program: All persons hired for a position that requires driving a District vehicle for which the District pays the license fees must have a Valid California Driver's License and participate in the District Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.
