QUALIFICATIONS • Previous coaching experience in varsity swim and dive at the high school level or above preferred. • Participation in swim and dive at high school level or above preferred. • Ability to successfully manage a swim and dive program within the established philosophy of the athletic department, school, district, and C.I.F. • Knowledge of C.I.F. Blue Book Constitution and By-Laws. • Demonstrate the ability to provide leadership and organization for all levels of the high school swim and dive program. • Knowledge and experience in regard to swim and dive coaching technique and evidence of the ability to convey effectively those techniques to young student athletes. • Ability to demonstrate leadership for a successful swim and dive program. • Possess and will provide a valid First Aid/CPR Certificate from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. CUSD does not accept online CPR/First Aid Training/Certificates. • Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS/Coaching Certification Class http://www.nfhslearn.com (Concussion in Sports). • Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS/Heat Illness Prevention Class through https://www.nfhslearn.com (Heat Illness). • Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS/Coaching Certification Class http://www.nfhslearn.com (Sudden Cardiac Arrest). • Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS/Coaching Certification Class http://www.nfhslearn.com (Fundamentals of Coaching). • Possess and will provide a copy of a current Mantoux, PPD or TST TB test results. RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist in acting as a liaison between the school and the community to promote a positive image for the program. • Assist in organization and scheduling of practices and games for all levels. • Assist in organization of summer camps(s) and off-season program. • Fundraising. • Implementation of the "Pursuing Victory with Honor" component within the swim and dive program. • Start Date: As Soon As Possible
