The job of ParaEducator is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for working with individual and/or small groups of students; and providing clerical support to teacher/s and staff. **This position reports to site principal
Requirements / Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent; two years of higher education/Associate’s Degree or higher relating to education, or passage of a district academic assessment test; one year experience or work involving contact with children, preferably including knowledge of subject matter taught in the classroom.

Assists teacher in providing services to students; work with groups of students as directed. Relieves teacher of routine clerical and authorized instructional duties; other related work as assigned. Must be physically able to bend, stoop, lift and assist students in emergency situations
The district is located along Interstate 8, in the southeastern mountains of San Diego County, approximately 50 miles east of the city of San Diego.
