Salary: $138,242 - $169,163 per year Longevity stipend up to $3,000 per year Professional Growth stipend up to $3,000 Mileage stipend $2,700 per year The South Whittier School District is actively recruiting a Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Business Services. The CBO shall possess relevant experience in managing a school District business office, performing financial analysis, and managing a bond program. The CBO is a cabinet-level position reporting to the Superintendent. The CBO must possess in-depth knowledge and experience pertaining to Business Services and shall be responsible for, but not limited to, all business functions, including budget, payroll, accounting, purchasing, transportation, maintenance and operations, modernization program, food services program, and risk management; and do related work as required. This position shall be responsible for the development and implementation of policy and administrative regulations for the Business Services Department.
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field with emphasis in accounting. Master's Degree in Business or related field. 4 (four) years of professional experience in an administrative position performing management, business/fiscal planning and support services. Supervisory experience in a business/fiscal office setting, budget administration, and research methodology in a K-12 setting. Experience in analyzing operational budgets and supervisory budget and finance.

Appointment to this position predicated upon submitting a negative TB result. In addition, the selected candidate must complete the state fingerprinting requirements and the district must receive a certificate of clearance by the California Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and submission of required documents. Within three (3) days of employment, all new employees shall show appropriate documents, which certify that they are legally eligible to work in the United States.
