Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor or designee, perform a variety of journey-level and skilled work in the maintenance and repair of District facilities, vehicles, and equipment in conjunction with specialized software; independently perform a variety of duties related to all building trades as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from High School and experience in one or more of the maintenance trades with five (5) years of increasingly skilled maintenance work related to building maintenance trade. Five (5) years of commercial carpentry related experience or graduation from an approved carpentry apprenticeship program preferred.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: * Ed-Join Application. * Valid Driver's License * Employee must arrange their own transportation. If using own vehicle in the course of employment must provide proof of insurance. * Within one year of assignment, incumbents must obtain respirator certification to be provided by employer. * Pre-employment lift test. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following are not required at the time of application but will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment: Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance, Tuberculosis clearance & Pre-Employment Physical/Drug Screen clearance. Must be at least 18 years of age.
