Coachella Valley Unified School District covers more than 1,200 square miles of mostly rural desert terrain, serving the communities of Coachella, Thermal, Mecca, Oasis, Indio, and the Salton Sea. Requirements / Qualifications

The following are required for this position prior to hire: * Qualified candidates will be contacted to move forward to get fingerprinted for DOJ & FBI Fingerprint Clearance * TB clearance (Required upon hire) * Current Security Guard Card * SB1626 Certificate * SB390 Certificate Substitute classified is an on-call as needed position. The district needs substitutes in the following areas: * Campus Security Assistants

* No blank or incomplete applications will be accepted. Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis. Selected candidates will be contacted to move forward to get fingerprinted for DOJ and FBI. Once candidates clear TB and fingerprints they will be invited to attend a substitute orientation. Please note that if your work/volunteer experience does not match any of the positions available to substitute, your application will not be considered.

  • Certificate Copy (Copy of SB 390 Certificate)
  •      OR Certification (Copy of SB 1626 Certificate)     OR Credential Copy (Copy of valid Security Guard card)
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (1st Professional recommendation letter dated within the past 12 months.)
  •      OR Letter(s) of Recommendation (2nd Professional recommendation letter dated within the past 12 months.)
  • Resume (Please ensure your resume lists any work experience related to the positions you are interested in subbing for.)
