DEFINITION: Under the supervision of the Assistant Principal, patrols and supervises campus activities to assure the well- being and safety of students, staff and visitors in non-classroom activities at an assigned high school campus site; assures student compliance with school and organizational rules and procedures.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalentto: graduation from high school and one year of security-related experience.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Possess a valid California Class C driver’s license.
• SB 390 mandated training.
• Valid First Aid andCPR certificate issued by an authorized agency.

All security guards or school security officers employed by a school district must complete an SB 390 training program prior to being cleared to start the position. The SB390 is a 24 hour online certification program that IUSD will reimburse to those that are hired for this position.
