Job Summary
Under the direction and supervision of a school nurse or administrator, provides first aid, delivers specialized health care procedures and medical treatments on an as needed basis, to children with exceptional needs in a school environment.
Requirements / Qualifications

Proof of valid First Aid and CPR certification, or proof of enrollment in an approved First Aid and CPR course from a recognized training program, must be submitted with your application. If submitting proof of enrollment, the certificate of completion MUST be provided by the final test part. Proof of your highest level of education must also be submitted by the last test part. Education: Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency. Certification as a nurse's aide or medical assistant is desirable. Experience: One year of full-time paid experience in caring for the physical and social needs of students with disabilities. Special: Possession of a valid California Class C Driver License. Evidence of adequate insurance for a motor vehicle which meets or exceeds the California legal liability insurance requirement and continue to maintain insurability. Use of an automobile. Possession of a valid Red Cross First Aid Certificate and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation Certificate issued by a recognized training program and kept valid during the term of employment.
