Looking for a fulfilling career opportunity with work-life balance? We have just the role for you! We're seeking an Education Programs Consultant (EPC) to join our dynamic team in the Early Childhood Support Unit (ECSU) of the Special Education Division. In this role, you'll have the chance to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with program units and managers throughout the California Department of Education and with other state department partners. You'll be assigned to work on various infant and preschool projects funded by federal and/or state funds, with a particular focus on Part C to B transition and supporting early childhood inclusive programs for children with disabilities.

As an EPC, you'll be an educational leader, promoting special education programs at the state and local level with policy support. You'll have the opportunity to delve into areas such as research, program development, and evaluation for early childhood special education. Your role will be crucial in monitoring, overseeing, and providing guidance for contracts and grants with agencies and organizations. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities ages zero to five. In this position, travel is required, which means you'll have the chance to explore new places while fulfilling your career goals. You'll work under the direct supervision of the Education Administrator I of the ECSU, the Director and Associate Director of the Special Education Division, who will support you in achieving your career aspirations.

If you're a self-starter with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with disabilities ages zero to five, and a desire for work-life balance, this could be the perfect role for you. Apply now and become a part of our dedicated team!
