QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a registered nurse and posses or be eligible for a California School Nurse Services Credential by the State of California.

Comments and Other Information

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. The school nurse shall be responsible for the health center and its services. The services include the following: 2. Provide and/or supervising health appraisals. 3. Providing health counseling for students and staff. 4. Participating in special education SAT and EAS meetings. 5. Supervising control and prevention of communicable disease. 6. Providing and/or supervising emergency care for students and staff. 7. Providing information for care for pupils with remedial health problems. 8. Providing consultant services for teachers who teach health education units. 9. Serving as liaison with community medical care facilities, doctors and other agencies. 10. Supervising maintenance of health records as required by law and district regulations. 11. Initiating and follow-up of parent conference concerning health problems of students. 12. Performing other related services as assigned.
