Job Summary

Job Summary

The Mental Health Therapist works with youth and their families to provide highly skilled psychological casework services, counseling and treatment for identified students in the school setting. The School Mental Health Therapist will also provide consultation services to the school staff to support the overall mental health goals of the school within the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework.

Requirements / Qualifications

Documents Required: A Master’s Degree from an accredited university and/or college with major coursework in social work, psychology, and counseling or closely related field. Appropriate PPS Credential - School Counseling or School Social Worker At least one year full-time experience in providing mental health services, social services, case management, or counseling with children, teens, and families under the supervision of a BBS approved supervisor.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS with BBS: Valid Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) or Valid Marriage Family Child Counselor (MFCC) Certification/License or Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Valid Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) DOCUMENTS REQUIRED: • Letter of Interest (specific to position) • Copy of credential or eligibility of credential • Letter(s) of Reference (2 minimum)
