Job Summary
Under the direction of senior leadership, the College & Career Coordinator leads the development, implementation, and oversight of Career Technical Education (CTE) programs and college and career readiness initiatives across SIATech schools. This role ensures alignment with industry standards, regional workforce needs, and educational goals by coordinating CTE pathways, work-based learning experiences, and early college credit opportunities. The Coordinator secures and manages grants, builds strategic partnerships with industry and community organizations, and supports staff through professional development and program evaluation. Through collaborative leadership and data-driven decision-making, the Coordinator advances equitable access to high-quality career and college preparation for Opportunity Youth.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in education, counseling, psychology, or a closely related field is required; Master’s degree preferred Experience in career counseling, college admissions, workforce development, student support services, or academic advising, with familiarity in organizing college fairs and career days, supporting college applications and FAFSA completion, and coordinating internships and job placement is highly desired. Certifications and Licenses: Tuberculosis (TB) risk assessment demonstrating that no risk factors have been identified or proof that a qualified professional has determined no TB following testing and examination. This position may be allowed to work remotely within California, but will be required to attend regular meetings in the Oceanside Central Office.
