Position Title: On-Call Substitute Teacher (OnCallSub) / Resident Substitute Teacher Location: Imagine Schools, Riverside County Reports To: Office Manager Position Summary Imagine Schools Riverside County seeks qualified educators to serve as On-Call Substitute Teachers and one designated Resident Substitute Teacher. Both roles ensure the continuity of student learning when the regular classroom teacher is absent. On-Call Substitute (On Call Sub): Provides instructional coverage on an as-needed basis, sometimes on short notice, across multiple grade levels and campuses. Resident Substitute: Assigned to a single campus on a daily basis to provide consistent coverage, instructional support, and classroom management as needed. This position offers steadier scheduling and helps build ongoing relationships with staff and students. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide classroom instruction consistent with lesson plans provided by the regular teacher. Maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement. Follow all school policies, procedures, and classroom expectations. Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times (e.g., lunch, recess, dismissal). Communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and administrators. Report any incidents, concerns, or disciplinary issues to the site administrator. Adapt teaching strategies and approaches when lesson plans are limited or unavailable. Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and school information. Resident Substitute only: Provide daily support at the assigned campus, including assisting with small group instruction, testing, and other duties when not covering classes. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Valid California Substitute Teaching Permit or teaching credential.
