Job Summary

DEFINITION (Electrician) Under supervision of the Director of Maintenance or designee; perform highly skilled work in the installation, trouble-shooting, maintenance and repair of electrical circuits, systems and equipment. Perform other related duties as assigned. DEFINITION(Alarms & Electronics Technician) Under supervision of the Director of Maintenance or Administrative designee; perform highly skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair alarm systems, two-way radios and low voltage systems. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

ELECTRICIAN 50% QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; any combination equivalent to sufficient training and experience in the electrician trade to demonstrate journeyman level proficiency. Licenses and other requirements: Valid California driver’s license. Driving record acceptable to the District’s insurance carrier. Desired Qualification: Electrician license. ALARMS & ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN 50% QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; any combination equivalent to two (2) years sufficient training and experience in the electronics field. Licenses and other requirements: Valid California driver’s license. Driving record acceptable to the District’s insurance carrier. Current Edwards Systems Technology (EST) Certifications. (must obtain within 12 months of appointment in the position)
