Job Summary
The job of the Human Resources Technician is for the purpose/s of providing support to the delivery of human resource services with specific responsibility for supporting department staff; providing information to applicants and employees; maintaining confidential and bargaining unit records; and completing assigned projects and tasks.

Assists with employment process (e.g. callbacks, scheduling interviewing, bargaining unit negotiations, notification, pre-employment proficiency tests, new employee orientation, etc.). 2. Compiles data from a variety of sources (e.g. applicants, benefit carriers, outside agencies, etc.). 3. Assist as needed with payroll processing, reporting related to all employees, services including but not limited to health insurance, TSA, contracts, verifications, and maintaining records related to compensation, TSA, 403 B, 457, supplemental retirement benefits, etc. 4. Maintains a variety of employment files and records (e.g. seniority and eligibility lists, test scores, probationary period, eligibility, etc.). 5. Prepares a variety of reports and related documents (e.g. classified and certificated reports; leave of absence forms, recruitment packages, etc.). 6. Processes documents and materials (e.g. applications, employee grievances, changes in employment status, payroll changes, etc.). 7. Responds to written and verbal inquires from a variety of internal and external sources. 8. Supports assigned administrative personnel. 9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Job related experience is required.
