Job Summary

Job Summary

The Los Angeles County Office of Education is seeking professionals with strong auditing and analytical skills for the role of Senior Auditor. The Senior Auditor plans, organizes, leads and conducts financial, compliance, and operational audits to ensure compliance with laws, rules, policies and legal requirements for school districts, programs, services, and federally and state funded programs of the Los Angeles County Office of Education.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Experience: Four years of experience conducting financial and/or compliance audits. Equivalency Provision: A valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license may substitute for one year of the required experience. Additional Requirements: A valid California driver’s license and availability of private transportation or ability to provide transportation between job sites may be required. Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff, LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19.
