Job Summary

Ocean View School District is looking for an Education Specialist teacher, with either a Mild/Mod or Extensive Needs credential, to cover a long term leave of absences for an RSP and Special Day Class Teachers. The assignment may be extended.

Requirements / Qualifications

**THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT NOTICE WHEN A SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED. APPLICANTS THAT DO NOT INCLUDE THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION WILL BE SCREENED OUT OF THE PROCESS.** Basic Functions: Under the supervision of the school principal, the Resource Specialist provides direct instruction and support services as specified in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) for the special education pupils identified and served through the Resource Specialist program. This includes assessing individual academic achievement and providing resource information and materials to General Education staff and parents. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Education: • Valid California Credential, authorizing service to Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe special needs students is required; • Autism Spectrum Authorization is required; • EL authorization or equivalent is required; Experience: • Recent successful experience working with children with special needs and willingness to work with staff members and management in a collaborative manner.

  • Credential Copy (Special Education Credential-Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe w/Autism Spectrum)
