Under general direction of the Associate Director of the Principal Apportionment Section in the School Fiscal Services Division (SFSD), and working cooperatively with the Education Fiscal Services Administrator of Principal Apportionment Policy Office A, the Education Fiscal Services Administrator is responsible for providing managerial direction and guidance to staff and local educational agency (LEA) administrators on numerous complex issues surrounding attendance accounting, instructional time, special education AB 602 policy, and Local Control Funding Formula policy.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Provide leadership and guidance to staff in implementing complex, mandated formulas used for determining apportionments and growth for special education.
Provide technical advice and assistance to county and district business officials regarding attendance accounting laws and regulations.
Oversee staff and provide guidance related to processing and review of LEA requests for ADA credit for emergency school closures and material decreases of attendance (J-13) to ensure requests are processed timely and consistently.
