Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Fiscal Services the Payroll Technician I is responsible for the timely preparation and management of both certificated and classified payrolls; including the creation and maintenance of payroll related records and the resolution of any payroll, reporting, and reconciliation issues.

Requirements / Qualifications

1. Must successfully complete a pre-employment medical examination and be free of communicable disease. Must meet district and state standards for physical and mental health. 2. High School graduate or equivalent. 3. A minimum of two (2) years of increasingly responsible clerical and secretarial experience involving bookkeeping and the management of financial records. 4. Ability to pass District Proficiency Examination. 5. Knowledge of school site and/or district office payroll operations. 6. Ability to operate office equipment including a computer for exporting, importing, sorting, and storing payroll related data. 7. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written. 8. Ability to identify and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
