GENERAL DESCRIPTION Provide standards-based instructional activities that build student competence in reading, writing and arithmetic. Monitor students throughout the school day for student safety and maintain accurate and timely records of student progress. Able to work effectively with a wide range of students. SCHOOL SITES Grand View Elementary School: TK-6th Lincoln Elementary School: TK-6th Roosevelt Elementary School: TK-6th Jefferson Elementary School: TK-6th Wilson Elementary School: TK-6th Kennedy Elementary School: TK-6th Washington Intermediate School: 7th-8th Dinuba High School: 9th-12th Sierra Vista High School (Alternative Ed): 9th-12th Ronald Reagan (Independent Study) Adult School

Requirements / Qualifications

NEW SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS ONLY: Must be cleared through the Tulare County Office of Education (Fingerprint Clearance) A complete application requires all of the following documents: 1. Application 2. Two Letters of Reference (dated within the last 1 year) 3. Valid Permit or Credential **Must possess one of the following: a. Emergency 30-Day Substitute Permit b. 90-Day Prospective Substitute Permit c. California Teaching Credential 4. TB Clearance a. Proof of TB test within the last 4 years, or b. Chest X-ray clearance within the last 10 years

In order for our substitute placement system to work efficiently and effectively, we must have substitutes that will be available to accept assignments on a regular basis. Our expectations for the 2025-2026 school year will require sub teachers to work 3-4 days a month to remain on the sub list.

  • Credential Copy (Credential/ 30 Day/ 90 Day)
  • Letter(s) of Reference (Two letters are required)
  • TB Screening Result (Within 4 years or 10 years if you had an X-ray)
