Terms of Employment:
Pay: $52,576-$98,557 (plus 4 paid PD days)
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, Life, AD&D, LTD
Supervisor: Principal
Start Date: As soon as hiring process is completed
Employment Status: Non-continuing position for the 2025–26 school year -
Essential Functions/Other Functions

Essential Functions:
- Teach and instruct 6th grade students in all core content areas (ELA, Math, Social Studies, Science, Fitness/Health).
- Develop lesson plans and teaching outlines using the CCSS and the district’s adopted course of study and instructional program guidelines.
- Plan, develop, and utilize a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of students from varied socio-economic backgrounds who possess a range of mental and emotional maturity.
- Provide group and individual instruction to motivate students and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities.
- Prepare, administer, score, record, and report student growth data.
- Counsel, confer with, and communicate with parents and school/district personnel regarding pupil progress. Consistently conveying rigorous expectations to students and parents.
- Monitor students’ interactions and nurture cooperation and team building.
- Collaborate with all school staff members.
- Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations
- Contribute to the PLC/Data Team on a regular basis
- Consistently seeking ways to improve
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess a current Washington State K-8 Generalist teaching certificate.
- Demonstrated understanding of research-based instructional strategies and assessment practices that support effective instruction.
- Must possess strong communication skills, patience, flexibility and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of students.
- Must be a problem solver and a team player, with the ability to work with students, staff, parents and other community patrons in an amiable and productive manner.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with students, teachers, school administrators, support personnel, and community members.
- Evidence/demonstration of use of technology to enhance student learning or willingness to learn.
