
Outreach Specialist at Mt. San Jacinto College
Requirements / Qualifications
We have an exciting opportunity for one (1) Outreach Specialist position located at our campus in San Jacinto, CA. Under general supervision of the Director of K12 Partnerships, the incumbent assists in the development, coordination, and implementation of outreach programs, and serves as a liaison between the College and the community to provide up to date information pertaining to the College’s programs and services; facilitates outreach workshops, hosts community and K12 activities; provides campus tours for the development and implementation of a comprehensive outreach program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1) A high school or GED; AND 2) Two (2) years of closely related experience equivalent to the duties described above in a community college and or the public school system; AND 3) Possession of, or the ability to obtain within 60-days of hire, a valid California driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the District. 1. Must maintain a driving record that meets District requirements set forth in the current policy as it relates to allowable types of infractions and points. Prior to access to District vehicles, must complete successful enrollment in the District's Direct Pull program with the DMV 4) Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff ***Before scanning attachments, remove/redact sensitive, confidential information such as date of birth, social security number, and photograph*** SUBSTITUTIONS: Professional Experience: -One (1) year of professional experience equates to 24 semester units of college level course work -Two (2) years of professional experience equates to 48 semester units of college level course work; OR An Associate’s degree -Four (4) years of professional experience equates to 96 semester units of college level course work; OR A Bachelor’s degree DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Professional experience: 1) Working in a higher education environment 2) Coordinating programs and activities that require identifying outcomes and sequencing steps from design to implementation
