Nevada City School of the Arts (NCSOTA), a TK-8 charter school in operation since 1994, is seeking a dynamic, culturally aware, stimulating Business Technician I to join our team who is highly qualified, organized and detail oriented. JOB TITLE: BUSINESS TECHNICIAN I SCHEDULE: 2025-26 School Year – Part-time (20 hours per week) WAGE: $18.20 - $27.53 per hour, depending on experience SUMMARY: The Business Technician supports all facets of the Business Office and its staff, including but not limited to: assisting with H/R, payroll, recruiting, miscellaneous accounting duties, and filing. The role also serves as a Health Tech, assisting the School Nurse with student health record compliance, screenings, disease control coordination, and state-mandated health reporting. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: H/R, Recruiting, Payroll Perform recruiting duties for all open positions, including posting jobs, interview team coordination, changes to job descriptions, scheduling interviews, new-hire documentation Manage employment@ncsota.org email account Coordinate bi-monthly employee and substitute timesheets for submission to H/R for payroll purposes Compile, review and seek missing signatures for bi-monthly timesheets submitted Distribute payroll checks to employees bi-monthly Route substitute and extra hours timecards to Supervisors for signatures Maintain timecard filing Assign and monitor Employee Vector trainings Post all labor law posters and notifications For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
