Reports To: Vice Principal of Academics/Business Magnet Director Job Status: 10-month, part-time, exempt Salary Information: Salary Information: Salary will be based upon compensation guidelines/substitute pay policy. This course is designed for juniors in the program and is articulated with Saddleback College, allowing students to earn both high school and college credit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accounting or Business, prior teaching or instructional experience, and a passion for working with high school students. Candidates should be collaborative, organized, and comfortable using technology to support instruction. Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver Accounting content appropriate for high school juniors and introductory college standards • Design assignments, projects, and assessments that reflect both high school and introductory college standards • Grade and provide feedback on student work in a timely manner • Maintain accurate records of student progress in alignment with school expectations • Communicate effectively with parents, studen

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Strong knowledge of Accounting principles and practices • Ability to design and deliver instruction that bridges high school and introductory college-level Accounting • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to high school students • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and learning management systems • Ability to assess student progress accurately and maintain digital grade records • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a professional learning community • Commitment to integrating technology into instruction to enhance learning Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field • Single Subject Teaching Credential in Business, Mathematics, or related field preferred • Minimum 2 years of prior high school or equivalent teaching experience • Prior experience developing and teaching an honors-level curriculum strongly preferred
