Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent – Educational Services, the Early Learning and Care Director administers, develops, implements, monitors, evaluates and reports on the California State Preschool (CSPP), full cost childcare, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), Resource and Referral (R&R), Child Care Training, Alternative Payment (CAPP), and any other Community Connections or Early Learning and Care Programs. General duties include coordination of communications, provision of resources and information to meet needs and assure smooth and efficient program activities, including coaching and evaluation of program staff. This position is contingent upon continuation of grant funding and or enrollment.

Requirements / Qualifications

- Must be 18 years of age or older - B.A. or B.S. degree or higher - Currently hold or be eligible to obtain a State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Child Development Program Director Permit, or meet alternative requirements - Ability to plan, direct, delegate, evaluate and supervise the work of others - Thorough understanding of contract compliance, budgeting and reporting - Administrative, program development and grant-writing skills - Strong organization skills and keen attention to detail
