Job Summary

Position Overview High School Enrichment Specialist is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate programs that extend student learning beyond the standard curriculum. This role supports students in cultivating advanced cognitive skills, creativity, and social-emotional growth through targeted enrichment activities. Specialists may work with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays (2 days/week), 1.5 hours/day

Requirements / Qualifications

Key Responsibilities Student Identification: Collaborate with staff to identify students eligible for enrichment opportunities. Curriculum Development: Design and implement programs that emphasize higher-order thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative learning. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain consistent communication with parents, site administrators, and school personnel regarding student progress and program activities. Student Support: Facilitate both individualized and group learning experiences tailored to student needs. Data Utilization: Assist in collecting and analyzing data to assess program effectiveness and inform instructional strategies. Relationship Building: Foster positive, professional relationships with colleagues, site leadership, ProYouth staff, and families. Professional Engagement: Actively participate in staff meetings, site trainings, professional development, and learning communities. Mission Alignment: Uphold and promote the vision, values, and goals of ProYouth in all aspects of work. Mentorship & Leadership: Serve as a positive role model, mentoring students and encouraging personal growth. Youth Development Integration: Align activities with outcomes that support holistic youth development. Instructional Excellence: Incorporate Common Core-aligned practices that promote collaboration, critical thinking, and decision-making. Behavioral Guidance: Employ positive discipline strategies that foster a respectful and inclusive learning environment. Team Collaboration: Work closely with peers to build a cohesive, high-performing team. Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student information and records. Compliance: Adhere to all ProYouth policies, procedures, and employee handbook guidelines. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, within the scope of training and expertise.

Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred High school diploma or equivalent AND Completion of 48 college units OR NCLB Paraprofessional Certification Minimum of two years’ experience working with youth strongly preferred
