Job Summary

Job Summary

The Intervention Coordinator is a position accountable for the coordination, development and monitoring of Student Service functions as assigned by the Director of Student Services and is responsible for the facilitation of all the student intervention programs of Highlands Community Charter and Technical Schools. The Intervention Coordinator will train and support site-based student service providers, collaborate with teachers and counselors to provide appropriate student services. This position shall be responsible for facilitating the collection of data and reporting the progress of student services provided by each school site and program. The Intervention Coordinator will develop and revise, as needed, the school wide system framework for intervention practices. The Intervention Coordinator will work directly with the Director of Student Services, Lead Counselors, and Academic Program Coordinators to meet student retention, intervention, and graduation goals. Requirements / Qualifications

The position requires the following items to be attached to the application, or the application will not be considered: . Resume . Letter of Reference (2 Required) . Minimum of three years of secondary classroom teaching or counseling experience required. . Master’s Degree in Education or related field from accredited college or university preferred. . Current valid California teaching credential and/or Pupil Personnel Services credential (school counseling credential). . Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional and intervention programs; ability to plan and implement professional development based on the intervention and student engagement framework. . Ability to design and present professional development for teachers and administrators. . Understanding/Experience with implementing the principles, practices, procedures, rules, codes, regulations, techniques and strategies of providing successful leadership and conflict management skills; effectively work with individuals and groups; effective project management skills; risk management; interpersonal skills utilizing tact, patience and courtesy; proficient computer technology and software skills. . Knowledge of assessment and intervention of high-risk students. . The ability to communicate with a diverse group of people on a daily basis . Possession of a valid California driver's license
