Job Summary
The job “1:1 Moderate/Severe Special Education Aide " is for the purpose/s of assisting, under direct supervision, in the supervision and instruction of special education students; relieving teachers of routine clerical tasks; and assisting students by providing for special academic/health care needs.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education Required: Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education; or obtained an associate’s (or higher) degree; or met a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment of knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics. * Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Proficiency examination, Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC), Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance. * Other: First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificates may be required.

7.00 Hours per day at Big Bear High School in the Moderate/Severe Special Education Class.
Successful applicants must obtain and/or provide the following before beginning employment:
Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and/or FBI
Proof of Tuberculosis clearance
Social Security Card for payroll purposes
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Employment with the Bear Valley Unified School District is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements, including Board of Trustee approval.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY?
