Job Summary

Provides specialized support and service in job development for young adults with special needs. Performs activities such as soliciting employer interest and involvement in the employment of students, orienting students to the services provided, developing student work skills, and providing general office support.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications • Education and Experience Requires an Associates degree in a related field and one year experience working with special education students in a secondary school environment and/or progressive experience in an employment, job training or equivalent environment. Additional related experience may substitute for some higher education based on one year of experience for one year of college. • Licenses and Certificates Requires a valid California driver’s license. Requires valid first aid and CPR certification; employee must fulfill this certification requirement within six months of employment in a regular position.

PURPOSE To establish a list of eligible candidates that will be used to fill current and any other future vacancies (part-time, permanent and temporary) for the duration of the list, up to a year. The vacancy is a 10-month, part time position located with Student Support Services. APPLICATION DEADLINE: Completed applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. on September 26, 2025. Late applications and/or certificates will not be accepted. TESTING PROCESS: A) Multiple Choice Test = 40% weighting on final score Tentatively scheduled for the week of September 29, 2025. B) Structured Interview = 60% weighting on final score Tentatively scheduled for the week of October 6, 2025. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications stated in the job posting by the application deadline in order to move forward in the testing process. Those candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be invited to the multiple choice test. Those with the highest scores on the multiple choice test will be invited to the structured interview. Those who pass the structured interview will complete a computer applications test administered online. The testing process is subject to change as needs dictate. All communication regarding this process will be delivered via email.
