Job SUMMARY Performs a variety of highly specialized and technical secretarial and administrative support duties, including (but not limited to) the leadership of others; taking and transcribing of complex, specialized, or highly technical dictation, development and administration of office systems; independent research; coordinates the flow of information among work teams and may distribute work to other support staff; assistance in budget development and monitoring; advanced record keeping experience; and program coordination involving resources from other work teams and departments. Able to learn, interpret, explain and apply knowledge of District and department organization, operations, programs, functions and special department terminology. Excellent customer service skills.

Minimum qualifications: Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent supplemented by post secondary course work in secretarial science or a related business field required. Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience, with minimum of 2 of those being equal to Administrative Secretary III level is required. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS The Level IV Administrative Secretary commonly reports to a senior-level manager or equivalent scope of responsibility that would merit this level of support. To advance to Level IV, incumbents would be expected to have a minimum of two years experience as a Level III to learn the unique operations of the function served, as well as the following demonstrated competencies: proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, data base, and graphics media; ability to coordinate projects requiring information from other sources; ability to design an office information system. Licenses and Certificates: TB Test clearance, Criminal Justice Fingerprint clearance, and valid Driver’s license.

The District will contribute towards health benefits on a prorated basis (based on employee's work year and hours assigned). The benefit package includes options for medical, dental and vision. Medical plan options include Kaiser, Western Health Advantage and Sutter Health Plus.
$9,360 per year for Employee-only medical benefit selection.
$11,400 per year for Employee+1 or Family medical benefit selection.
