About Us: Irvine Chinese Immersion Academy is the first public charter school approved by the Irvine Unified School District. We are the only tuition-free Mandarin dual-immersion program in Orange County, California, adapting a progressive immersion model that emphasizes both academic excellence and cultural learning. Our goal is to prepare students to become global citizens through the development of bilingualism, biliteracy, and cross-cultural competence. Position Summary: The PR & Marketing Intern will work closely with school leadership and staff to enhance the school’s visibility, strengthen community engagement, and share our mission and values with families, partners, and stakeholders. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in education-focused public relations and marketing while making a positive impact on the school community. This position requires someone who is flexible, open-minded, and comfortable working in a team-oriented and student-centered setting. The Public Relations/ Marketing Intern will report directly to the Executive Director and may be asked to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the school community. Requirements / Qualifications

Qualifications: - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn). - Creative mindset with an eye for design and branding. - Basic graphic design and/or video editing skills preferred (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.). - Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. - Passion for education and interest in supporting a school environment. - Not Required but Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field. Schedule & Commitment - Flexible part-time hours (10–15 hours per week). - Internship duration: Semester or academic year (with potential to extend). - Some evening or weekend hours may be required for special events.
