The length of this long-term substitute teaching assignment is subject to change. The estimated start date is October 17, 2025, and the estimated end date is February 6, 2026. The position is for a long-term substitute in an elementary classroom. Applicants will only be contacted if invited for an interview.

Application Requirements: • Cover Letter • MATES Certificated Application (download from school website www.matescharter.org) • Resume • Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential • Three (3) Letters of Recommendation • 10-20 Minute Lesson Video • Send application and supporting documentation to Kristen Walker at kwalker@matescharter.org All selected candidates must complete fingerprint clearance and must submit a valid driver’s license, proof of tuberculosis clearance, and a social security card.

Under the immediate direction of the Executive Director, is responsible for the academic, social and psychological growth of the students in the classroom. Collaborates with school personnel, parents, and community agencies to provide instructional programs and to perform other duties directly related to this position description.
