Job Responsibility: Tiny Knights Preschool at St. Gabriel School is looking for an on-call Substitute to join our team! We are looking for someone who has experience working with children, including toddlers, and possess a background in childhood development or are looking to gain more experience in a licensed child care facility. -Assist in preparing the classroom environment. (Setting up centers, setting up napmats, etc.)-Assist Teachers with maintaining ratios.-Interacting with children, with lots of open-ended questions.-Properly supervising children at all times.-Be knowledgeable about all children’s specific needs. (allergies, toilet training)-Redirect a child if they are having problems.-Encourage children to be independent.-Assist Teachers with prep work for the week.-Maintaining the classroom, cleaning, replenishing materials. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, walk, stand, and climb stairs, alternating as needed and sometimes for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to bend, pull, and also each above shoulder level. Must be able to lift 45-50 lbs. Requirements: At least 6 months-1 year experience in a Preschool setting. At least 6 ECE units and currently taking more ECE classes or 12 ECE units completed.
