THE POSITION: The Director II, Community Schools Initiative, provides visionary leadership and strategic oversight for the expansion and sustainability of the Community Schools Initiative (CSI) across Los Angeles County. Reporting to the Director III, this role is responsible for scaling system level change, deepening cross- sector partnerships, and ensuring the integration of equity-driven practices that transform schools into thriving community hubs. The Director II will lead high-level planning, policy development, and interagency collaboration to advance educational equity and student well-being.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience: Three or more years as a teacher or support service provider and a minimum of five years of educational administrative experience in K-12 education. Administrative experience may include school, district, and/or county-level administrative positions. Education: A Master’s degree in education, social work, counseling, or a closely related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associations as recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation. A doctoral degree is desirable. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE (Must attach a detailed certification/credential with document number to application): • Possess and maintain a valid Administrative Services Credential • Possess and maintain a valid K-12 Teaching Credential or Pupil Personnel Services Credential.
