San Marcos High School is seeking an Assistant Pole Vault coach. This coach will be responsible for ensuring proper skill development, safety, and sportsmanship. The coach must have sufficient knowledge of the technical, tactical, and mental aspects of the pole vault. Prior coaching and/or competitive experience preferred. Minimum 3 days/week required, but full time preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -Plan and implement pole vault training sessions for male and female Varsity/JV level athletes at all skill levels. -Emphasize safe skill progression and enforce safety protocols in all practices and competitions. -Build positive and respectful relationships with student-athletes, encouraging growth and confidence. -Collaborate with the Head Coach and coaching staff to align event training with the overall program. -Officiate pole vault at home dual meets and accompany athletes to invitational meets. -Model and promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic balance. Our District accepts applications on-line through Edjoin (www.edjoin.org) only.
