Stockton Unified School District (SUSD) began providing services to students in 1852 and is located in the heart of California’s Central Valley near the banks of the San Joaquin River. Requirements / Qualifications

Education, training and/or experience equivalent to two years of college plus at least one year of work experience in the knowledge and abilities listed on the job description. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS -Possession of a valid California driver's license is required. -Bi-literate Exam (must pass Stockton Unified School District’s language test to demonstrate proficiency in English and a designated second or third language in the areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking) NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS -High school graduation or GED -Degree or completion of 48 semester units from accredited college or university or District Assessment Test/County certificate showing compliance with NCLB. (SUSD proficiency test taken before 7/1/04 does not meet this requirement) OPTIONAL DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS Applicants interested in being considered for additional classified substitute roles are encouraged to include any of the following documents, IF available: -High School Diploma, GED Certificate, or Transcripts -Unofficial College Transcripts -California Food Handler Certification (CFHC) – Required for food services roles but if not held, can be obtained later with SUSD after hire through work performance. -CPR/First Aid Certification – Must be issued by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or EMS. If not held, can be obtained later with SUSD upon hire after confirmation of TB and Fingerprint clearance. ***Please note: All required documents or certifications must be submitted and verified prior to being placed in specific substitute roles. Incomplete or missing documents/certifications may delay the application hiring process. This job posting does NOT include Certificated Substitute Teaching positions.
