Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. An Associate's degree (*attach transcript); AND 2. Nine (9) semester units of college-level, general accounting, business, finance, or equivalent course work (*attach transcript); AND 3. Two (2) years of professional experience in keeping or reviewing accounting or fiscal records; AND 4. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff ***Before scanning attachments, remove/redact sensitive, confidential information such as date of birth, social security number, address and photograph*** SUBSTITUTIONS Substitutions for meeting the minimum qualifications of this position are allowed, as follows: • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, OR Business Administration with an accounting concentration, OR a Bachelor's degree in a related field OR • High school diploma or GED AND five (5) years of professional experience in keeping or reviewing accounting or fiscal records DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, OR Business Administration with an accounting concentration, OR a Bachelor's degree in a related field 2. Professional experience: -in financial accounting and budgeting in the public sector -using an integrated relational database 3. Demonstrated ability to manage financial resources with a record of fiscal responsibility and accountability 4. Prior experience in approaching work and interaction with colleagues and/or customers in an equity-minded manner. Ability to promote an inclusive and welcoming work/education environment.
