Requirements / Qualifications

Under general supervision from the appropriate certificated instructional personnel or in a resource classroom assist with instructional and non-instructional duties in a program designed to serve students with special educational needs. Any combination of training, experience, and High school diploma or the equivalent, and. Two years of college (48 units), or. A. A. degree (or higher). Courses in psychology, child growth and development and one year of experience in a paid or volunteer setting working with school age children is desirable.
