Requirements / Qualifications

Mater Dei High School, a co-educational college preparatory Diocesan Catholic high school, has an immediate opening for a School Counselor. This is a full-time, exempt, 12-month position. Utilizing leadership, advocacy, collaboration, the school counselor promotes success for all students by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that aligns with the school’s mission. School counselors plan, implement, and evaluate prevention and intervention programs to promote the academic, college, career, personal, and social/emotional development of all students. Candidate should be dedicated to the mission of Catholic education, as envisioned in Church documents and teachings, rooted in our core principles of Honor, Glory, and Love. Experience: Master’s degree in a similar field of study and possess a valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential authorizing service as a school counselor preferred.
